New to Bald Sports? Start with the basics. Bald Sports combines familiar sports games with a moving prize pool. In most sports pools, everyone enters, the prize pool sits still, and winners wait until the end. Bald Sports makes the prize pool part of the game. You make picks, your entry votes on where the shared pool moves next, and winners claim at the end. What You Need
Before entering, you need:- a wallet connected through the app
- USDC on Base
- acceptance of the current terms and risk acknowledgement
Bald covers supported network fees for eligible Privy embedded-wallet actions. Picks and votes are signed offchain and do not use gas. Other wallets may need to cover their own network fees. The 50 USDC entry price is never sponsored.
This is a beta version. Smart contracts are unaudited and publicly verifiable on Base.
How A Game Works
- Choose NFL Survivor. Review the entry window, prize-pool floor, and weekly rules before entering.
- Enter with USDC. Your entry gives you pick rights, vote rights, and any claim rights if your entry wins. Each entry is represented by an NFT. Entry NFTs are non-transferable at launch, so they cannot currently be sold, transferred, or moved to another wallet.
- Make your pick. Pick one NFL team each week. A win or tie keeps that entry alive. A loss, missed pick, or invalid pick eliminates it.
- Vote on the prize pool. Eligible entries vote on one of four scheduled strategies in Weeks 1–17. Week 18 has no vote.
- Follow official results. Games grade individually as official results arrive.
- Claim if eligible. When the game ends and payouts are finalized, eligible entries can claim.
What Happens Onchain
Bald Sports uses Base and USDC for the parts of the game that need a public record.- entry purchases happen onchain
- picks and votes are signed in the app before lock
- eligible signed picks and votes are published after lock
- prize-pool moves happen from the onchain treasury
- finalized winners claim from the prize pool
- entry NFTs are non-transferable at launch
