Results, Fairness, and Claims

NFL Survivor games grade individually as official results arrive. Gameplay does not wait for every game in the week or for unrelated onchain settlement work.
The app may show a provisional result before final grading. A known gameplay winner may also need to wait for settlement, payout validation, and the challenge period before claiming.

Game Results

Each game reaches one supported terminal outcome:
  • Official win: entries selecting the winner survive; entries selecting the loser are eliminated.
  • Official tie: entries selecting either team survive.
  • Official forfeit: Bald follows the winner and loser declared by the NFL.
  • Safe Harbor: an affected locked pick survives when no normal winner can be used in its original official NFL week.
The selected team remains used after a win, tie, loss, official forfeit, or Safe Harbor ruling.

Provisional, Under Review, And Official

Provisional means a current provider result is visible but is not final for settlement. Under review means sources or an official assertion conflict. Bald keeps the game pending rather than guessing. Official means the outcome is final under the configured result process and may be used for gameplay grading.

Postponed, Suspended, Or Canceled Games

If a game is postponed before an affected pick locks, the matchup becomes unavailable and the player may choose another eligible team before the applicable deadline. If a locked game is completed within the same official NFL week, Bald follows the eventual official result. If the NFL moves a locked game to another official week or cancels it without declaring a winner, affected entries receive Survivor Safe Harbor:
  • the entry survives that week;
  • the selected team remains used; and
  • the ruling is limited to the affected fixture and entries.
Safe Harbor is not general forgiveness for a normal losing pick.

Winner Determination

The last entry alive wins the distributable prize pool. A sole survivor wins gameplay immediately once all other previously alive entries are terminally eliminated. If multiple entries remain after Week 18, they split the distributable pool equally.

Total Weekly Wipeout

If every entry alive at the start of a week is eliminated in that same week:
  1. If one or more of those entries submitted a valid weekly pick, only the valid pickers split the pool.
  2. Missed or invalid picks do not share when at least one valid pick was submitted.
  3. If nobody submitted a valid pick, all entries alive entering that week split the pool.
The NFL contest week—not the order in which Sunday and Monday games finish—is the unit used for this fallback.

Settlement And Payout Finality

Gameplay grading and payout settlement are separate. Before claims activate, Bald must have:
  • finality for every payout-relevant game;
  • settled and reconciled prize-pool execution;
  • the full distributable balance available in withdrawable USDC;
  • a valid payout root containing the winner set and claim amounts; and
  • an expired payout-root challenge period.
UMA is part of the payout-finality and challenge process. If the committed outcomes, winner calculation, or amounts are wrong, a pending payout root can be challenged before claims activate.

Claim States

The app shows the current claim state:
  • Not yet available: one or more settlement gates remain.
  • Finalizing: the payout root is pending or inside its challenge period.
  • Claim available: every gate has passed.
  • Claimed: the payout was completed.
An official game result or known gameplay winner does not mean claiming is immediately available. At launch, claims remain tied to the eligible entry and the wallet that entered.

Refunds

Refunds are limited to approved pre-start cancellation scenarios. After gameplay starts, there are no normal partial refunds.
