# Glossary

## Base

The blockchain network Bald Sports uses for entries, prize-pool movement, and claims.

## Batch Publication

The process of publishing eligible signed picks and votes after a lock so the game can record picks, count votes, and continue the contest.

## Bracket

A game where each entry fills the full World Cup knockout bracket before the first lock and scores points as teams advance.

## Claim

The action eligible winners take to receive their share of the finalized prize pool.

## Entry

Your position in a game. An entry gives you the right to make picks, vote when eligible, and claim if it wins.

## Entry NFT

An onchain representation of an entry, when used. Entry NFTs are soulbound, meaning they are non-transferable and stay with the wallet/account that entered.

## Official

A result state that has completed the required finality process and is ready to be used for scoring, elimination, and payout calculations.

## Onchain Treasury

The treasury that holds the contest prize pool and executes approved prize-pool movements.

## Oracle

The result-finality process used to determine when sports outcomes are ready for scoring, eliminations, and payouts.

## Pick

Your selected team or teams for a game action.

In Survivor, picks are made round by round. In Bracket, picks are submitted as a full knockout bracket before the first lock.

## Pick Lock

The deadline after which picks can no longer be submitted or changed for that action.

## Prize Pool

The shared pool of USDC and any resulting assets that entries compete for.

## Provisional

A result state shown for information before final grading is complete.

## Safe Harbor

A rare Survivor-only safety ruling for affected disruption cases. Safe Harbor can protect affected entries from elimination when normal grading would be unfair because of a serious fixture or team disruption.

## Signed Pick Or Vote

A pick or vote authorized by the player in the app before lock and published later if it is eligible.

## Soulbound

Non-transferable. A soulbound entry NFT cannot be sold or moved to another wallet.

## Slot Readiness

The app has enough official tournament-structure data to show valid bracket positions or pickable fixtures. This does not mean every future team is already known.

## Strategy Option

One of the four scheduled choices for where the shared prize pool moves next in a contest round.

## Survivor

An elimination game where entries pick teams to advance and stay alive by making correct picks.

## Team Advanced

The result Bald Sports uses for picks. If a team officially advances, it counts as advanced regardless of final score.

## Tournament Slot

An official tournament position that will resolve into a real team later, such as "Winner Group A" or a best third-place slot.

## UMA

An oracle system used as part of Bald Sports result finality. Results can be proposed, checked, and challenged before becoming final for game purposes.

## USDC

The dollar-denominated token used for entries and claims.

## USDC Safety Override

A safety state where the pool is held or returned in USDC if a selected move cannot be completed safely.

## VOID

A rare match state used when no official advancing team is available by the defined deadline.

## Vote Lock

The deadline after which prize-pool votes can no longer be submitted or changed for that round.
